Timed Assessments: My Design Photo's and Evaluation

Below are the images produced from the timed assessment for the design I created. My partner was Danielle. We exchanged our designs a few days before, and we sat down and discussed our ideas and explained it all so we could answer each others questions and make sure we understood each others ideas. We also had a practice run, which you can see here, so Danielle was confident when it came to creating my design on the day. When it came to the day of the assessment, I was confident Danielle understood my idea, and I provided her with the materials I had used when creating the design myself, as well as the face charts and products and tools list I had shown her a few days prior.

I'm happy with how Danielle executed my design. I know she struggled a little with my hair, as my hair can be very tricky to style, and does not curl very easily, but it came out exactly as I had designed it, and looked very historical. She also struggled a little with blocking out my eyebrows, as I have very dark brows with thick hairs, but I think unless they are shaved off, my eyebrows will always be difficult to block completely! Looking at the pictures I also think the drawn on eyebrow could be a little darker. This is just how it looks on camera, as it looked fine in real life, so its just something to make a note of in future I guess.

Apart from that, I'm extremely happy with Danielle's work. She was very professional in her application, and her health and safety was on point. I think its always tricky doing makeup on a fellow makeup artist as they are the most critical, but I really can't fault her studio etiquette and application. Her base in particular is excellent. I was having a horrendous skin week that week, so she had her work cut out for her, as I wanted a really flawless base, and I think she achieved this brilliantly.
