Contemporary Character Post 2: The Scene
The scene I have chosen to cast my character in is Act 1, Scene 4.
It is where we are first introduced to her and she is singing about her secret life as a cabaret performer. It is where we first get a glimpse of Sally's character, particularly the "child-like" qualities, as it is quite a childish thing to worry about your parents and getting into trouble.
In a contemporary setting, I imagine Sally to be working in a trendy nightclub in London such as Koko, doing a less than glamorous job such as a shot girl, but making it seem glamorous because of her personality.
